PROJECTS
TforTREES Cameroon has obtained funding from its funding partners to implement the Afforestation and Reforestation, Honey Production, Smart Agriculture, and Livestock for sustainable livelihood project. The Company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Touboro and Ngan-Ha Municipal Councils for project Land in the Northern Regions to Afforest the Local Council Areas from Desert into Forest using our Paulownia Mega Flora which grows in desert conditions, with the production of Honey products within the project areas as the Paulownia Mega Flora Trees produces flower which attracts bees. TforTREEs Cameroon will reforest degraded logging sites to regenerate the forest in the Southern Regions. We have secured Agricultural and Livestock Land in the Moungo and Kupe Muanenguba Divisions to carry out our Smart Agriculture and Livestock and a Processing Complex to be located in Tombel Municipal Council Area and Agricultural and Livestock operation in Bangem Municipality. These areas will have Cool Rooms and Warehouses to conserve and store all our Agricultural and Livestock products with 30,000 Capacity Poultry and 10,000 Capacity Piggery Farms located in strategic areas with Fish Ponds where there is a constant flow of water.
Apart from earning Carbon Credits to avert Carbon Footprints, TforTREES Cameroon will revolutionize agriculture and livestock by introducing the best technology and innovation to cultivate Maize, Cassava, Plantains, Cocoyams, Tomatoes, Livestock, Fisheries,and vegetable products and process them for international market.
The Afforestation and Reforestation, Honey Production, Smart Agriculture and Livestock for Sustainable livelihood project, will provide more than 2,500 direct and indirect jobs to the various communities where the respective components of the project will be implemented in full. To achieve its mission TforTREES Cameroon shall implement the following projects tomaintain the achievements of the Millennium Development Goals and enhance the objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) as follows: -
- Afforestation and Reforestation to Combat Climate Change; - Production of Honey to improve the living condition of the population; - Smart Agriculture and Livestock to improve Food Security; - Improving sustainable livelihood in rural communities to reduce the level of poverty in all our project areas; - Working in partnership with other stakeholders to provide smart solutions on Climate Change, Clean Energy, Clean Water, and Sustainable Livelihoods; TforTREEs Cameroon will accompany the government of Cameroon through the signing of the MOU to enhance the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 on Climate Change, Reduce Poverty, Clean Water, Clean Energy, and Sustainable Livelihoods.
